EU Serve

Honoring Purpose-Driven Service & Volunteer Leadership

Eldermont University is proud to be an official Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)—a prestigious national honor awarded by the President of the United States to individuals, families, and groups who demonstrate outstanding commitment to volunteer service. Through EU Serve, students, alumni, staff, and community members are encouraged to engage in meaningful service that reflects Christ-like character and civic responsibility (Matthew 5:16; Galatians 6:9-10).

As a Certifying Organization, EU is authorized to verify eligible volunteer hours and present the PVSA to qualifying individuals each year. This award recognizes efforts across a wide range of causes and organizations—whether through churches, nonprofits, ministries, or local outreach initiatives. Volunteers do not need to serve directly through Eldermont to qualify. Hours completed independently can also count, as long as they meet the eligibility requirements and are properly documented.

Earn the President’s Volunteer Service Award

Are you committed to making a difference through consistent volunteerism? Submit your hours, supporting documentation, and application to EU Serve for verification. Annual awards are available at the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels—and a special Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes volunteers who complete 4,000+ lifetime hours of service.

Description
I am currently seeking several students who may be able to help our ministry, God’s Healing Hands (GHHnow.org). We are a women’s ministry, and our mission is to inspire hope, healing and healthy grieving in times of loss. Hope in Jesus Christ because He is the living God and there is no pain He cannot relate to. This hope is provided through speaking engagements, retreats, and Internet resources. Our online presence is critical in reaching those who are currently seeking help. We have two web pages and Facebook pages (English and Spanish). We post devotionals every day and answer prayer requests. In addition, we speak at nursing homes, churches and women’s retreats.

We need a Spanish-speaking student to review our Spanish webpage/Facebook pages to ensure proper grammar and language are used, translate daily English devotionals into Spanish for posting, and interpret at our women’s retreats.

Also, we need a person with a Marketing background who can help us with our social media presence.
In addition, we need a person with WordPress experience that can update our plugins for our website (we have two websites English and Spanish).

We also need some help with other parts of the web site such as the mailing list which was developed in Classic ASP. We receive too many spam and we need to fix that by limiting what people can type in the box that says How Did You Hear About Us? at www.patientmodesty.org/signupform.asp.
2) We are looking for students (any major) to help with calling businesses about donating to Medical Patient Modesty for our next silent auction in November and other projects. Description
Waters Edge Church is excited to offer online opportunities suitable for any schedule. Our Online Campus has experienced significant growth over the past two years, creating a space for meaningful discipleship and support within our online community.

We offer engaging roles on Sundays, where volunteers actively participate in live online services, and weekday support roles, designed for task oriented volunteers. Our team’s main goal is to support our community as they come to know and love Jesus. In fact, in 2023, 84 members decided to give their life to Jesus through our online campus. This may not have happened without our volunteer team. If you’re eager to make an impact with a team actively growing the Lord’s Kingdom, we’d be thrilled to have you!
