Eldermont University is not accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Instead, we pursue faith-based and international accreditations that align with our Christian mission.

Some employers, particularly faith-based organizations, private-sector businesses, and international institutions, may recognize degrees from religiously accredited institutions. However, government agencies, regulated industries, and regionally accredited institutions may require degrees from DOE-recognized accredited universities.
Before enrolling, students should verify whether an Eldermont University degree meets their career or academic needs.
Credit transferability is at the discretion of the receiving institution. Since Eldermont University is not regionally accredited, its courses and degrees may not transfer to other colleges or universities.

Eldermont University follows a one-time tuition payment model, meaning students pay a flat fee instead of per-credit-hour tuition.

Competency-based education allows students to earn degrees by demonstrating subject mastery rather than completing traditional coursework.
PLA allows students to receive academic credit for previous work experience, training, and prior education. Students must submit a portfolio demonstrating their competencies.
For graduate programs, students must complete a:
