2. Accreditation & Degree Recognition
Eldermont University is authorized by the Florida Department of Education – Commission for Independent Education to grant religious degrees in accordance with Florida Statute 1005.06(1)(f). We are a legally recognized faith-based institution committed to providing high-quality, Christ-centered education for ministry, leadership, counseling, education, and related fields.
Eldermont University is accredited by several religious and international quality assurance agencies, including the Accrediting Commission for Biblical Higher Education (ACBHE), the Christian Colleges & Universities Accreditation Board (CCUAB), the International Accreditation Center of the United States (IACUS), and the American Merit Council (AMC). These accreditations affirm our commitment to academic excellence, institutional integrity, and alignment with our biblical mission.
Eldermont is not accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). As such, our degrees may not be accepted for purposes such as secular licensure, federal financial aid (Title IV), or guaranteed credit transfer to other institutions. Prospective students should review our accreditation status and confirm recognition with employers, licensing boards, or other academic institutions as needed.

Before enrolling, students should verify whether an Eldermont University degree meets their career or academic needs.
Transfer credit decisions are made solely by the receiving institution. While Eldermont University provides academically rigorous, faith-based degree programs, we are not accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, which means credits may not transfer to other colleges or universities, especially those that require regional or national accreditation.
If you plan to pursue additional education elsewhere, we strongly recommend contacting your intended institution in advance to determine whether credits or degrees from Eldermont will be accepted.
