About Eldermont

Wisdom. Faith. Purpose.

Eldermont University is a Christian university that recognizes prior education, professional experience and demonstrated academic achievement.

A different kind of university

Eldermont does not operate on semesters or a course catalog. Students apply, document their prior learning, are evaluated and admitted, and then complete a culminating scholarly work — a Capstone Project, Thesis or Dissertation — guided by one assigned academic chair.

Statement of Faith

What we believe

Eldermont University affirms historic Christian orthodoxy and is committed to integrating biblical faith with scholarship, leadership, and service. The University’s mission and academic life are grounded in the following core beliefs:

  1. The Nature of God

We believe in one sovereign God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and governs creation according to His divine purpose.

  2. The Authority of Scripture

We affirm the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, as the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the ultimate source of truth and provides guidance for faith, learning, leadership, and ethical decision-making.

  3. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. Through His sinless life, sacrificial death, bodily resurrection, and ascension, He accomplished redemption and reconciliation between God and humanity. Jesus Christ is the sole means of salvation.

  4. Salvation by Grace through Faith

We believe that salvation is a gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is not earned by human effort but is granted through repentance and trust in Christ as Lord and Savior.

  5. The Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells believers, guiding them into truth and empowering them for holy living, spiritual growth, discernment, and faithful service.

  6. The Church and Christian Community

We affirm the global Church as the body of Christ, composed of all believers. Eldermont University seeks to cultivate a Christ-centered academic community marked by spiritual formation, integrity, mutual encouragement, and service.

  7. Christian Leadership and Vocation

We believe all believers are called to live as faithful witnesses in every area of life. The University equips students to exercise Christian leadership with humility, integrity, and excellence across ministry, education, business, technology, and other vocations.

  8. The Hope of Eternal Life

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the faithful, and eternal life with God. This hope informs our pursuit of truth, service, and faithful stewardship in the present age.
