How it works
Six stages. One clear path.
Eldermont is built around a single academic journey rather than a catalog of courses. Here is what to expect at each step.
Stage 1: Application & Documentation
Create your account, choose your program and apply. Upload transcripts, certificates, a résumé and professional credentials. Save and return any time.
- Register for a student account and choose your degree program.
- Provide personal, academic and professional information.
- Upload transcripts, certificates, a résumé and professional credentials.
- Save your progress and return to finish later, then submit for review.
Stage 2: Admission & Tuition
Admissions evaluates your application and prior learning. If admitted, you receive your Student ID, your academic chair and a clear tuition balance.
- Admissions reviews your application and supporting documents, and may ask for more information.
- Prior Learning Assessment recognizes applicable academic credit.
- If admitted, you receive a unique Student ID and a formal admission notice.
- Pay tuition in full or through a payment arrangement, and meet your assigned academic chair.
Stage 3: Topic & Proposal
Describe your intended scholarly work. Your chair reviews it, gives feedback and approves it — or asks for a revision.
- Complete a structured topic and proposal form in your portal.
- Your chair reviews it and may approve it, request revisions or decline it.
- Every submission, comment and decision is kept in a clear history.
Stage 4: Final Scholarly Work
Upload your Capstone Project, Thesis or Dissertation. Receive written evaluation, revise as needed, and earn your final grade.
- Upload your completed Capstone Project, Thesis or Dissertation.
- Receive written evaluation from your chair, and revise and resubmit as often as needed.
- Your accepted work receives a final letter grade.
Stage 5: Degree Conferral
When academic requirements are complete and your balance is zero, the university authorizes conferral and issues your diploma.
- The university verifies your academic requirements and your final grade.
- Your required tuition balance must be $0.
- An administrator authorizes conferral; you can then download your diploma.
Stage 6: Publication & DOIOptional
With your written permission, the university may publish your accepted work to its Zenodo community and assign a permanent DOI.
- Publication is optional and never required to graduate.
- It happens only with your explicit written permission.
- Accepted work is published to Eldermont’s Zenodo community and receives a DOI that appears on your academic record.
Grading and academic standards
Eldermont uses letter grades with fractional GPA values. The general passing grade is C (2.50). Culminating scholarly work has a higher minimum, and work graded below it is returned for revision rather than failed.
