Our institution operates in compliance with Florida Statute 1005.06(1)(f) as a religious institution, exempt from governmental oversight by the Florida Department of Education –Commission for Independent Education (CIE).

Florida Department of Education –Religious Institution Authorization
Eldermont University is legally authorized by the Florida Department of Education –Commission for Independent Education (CIE) to operate as a religious institution under Florida Statute 1005.06(1)(f). This designation allows us to offer degree programs exclusively for religious vocations in ministry, counseling, theology, education, administration, media communications, and leadership.

Eldermont University is not accredited by any U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting body, as we are a faith-based institution offering religious education. As a private, religiously exempt institution, our academic programs focus on spiritual, ethical, and leadership development within Christian ministry, business, education, and technology.
Important Considerations:
• Eldermont University does not participate in federal financial aid programs, including Pell Grants and federal student loans.
• The transferability of credits to other institutions is at the sole discretion of the receiving institution.
• Our programs are not designed for secular licensure (e.g., state teaching certification, clinical counseling licensure, etc.).
- Students seeking to use their degree for secular licensure or government-regulated professions should verify with the appropriate licensing agency before enrolling.

Transferability of Credits:
The acceptance of Eldermont University credits at other institutions is solely at the discretion of the receiving institution. We encourage students to verify transferability before enrolling if this is a concern.
